Tour Méd 3ème etape

J'ai profité aller voir mon chéri cet après-midi quand le 3ème étape de Tour Méditerranéen arrivait au plage de l'Estaque à Marseille. J'ai vu la victoire impréssionnante de Mikhael Ignatiev (Tinkoff). Il arrivait tout seule après une échappée de 11km en solitude. Le peloton arrivait seulement 14 secondes dérrière de lui, mais assez pour faire l'honneur à cet coureur russe, triple championne du monde de chrono. Châpeu! Jussi disait avoir les bonnes jambes et il pense déjà à demain et l'arrivée de col de Mont Faron. Voici le souri de mon champion. Go baby go!!! Jussi est très bien classé par contre, il fait 9ème de classement général. Je vous embrasse tous, bisous, Tiina

Family times

When pro's come home they open they luggage in the center of the living room, you have stuff all over the place, lots of loundry to do... Well it's all worth it, it is been great to have Jussi home again for a change. We've been training as usual, and now Jussi is heading to a new race, Tour de Méditerranéen. I will be leaving for the Prunaux d'Agen training camp on Sunday. We will have our team presentation on Sunday and then training the week after, getting to know each other and so on. I am happy to meet also our American cyclist-girl Christine Vardaros. You can check her website from my link-list. I will try to write something from the camp, if I can get connected... Have fun, train hard!

Quand le cyclist pro rentre chez lui, on trouve ses bagages partout, chez nous c'est souvent au milieu de salon... Tant pis, je suis heureuse pour que mon chèri a passé du temps à maison encore! On s'est entrainé comme d'habitude et maintenant Jussi est en train de refaire ses bagages pour le Tour Méditerranéen et moi, je commecerai mon stage avec Pruneaux d'Agen dimanche. On aura le presentation d'équipe dimanche et aprés le tage pendant une semaine. J'essaie vous ecrire quelque chose de mon stage, si j'arrive à me connecter...

Ammattilaiskilpapyöräilijä kun saapuu kotiin kisareissultaan, ensimmäisiä merkkejä kotisalongista voi havaita matkalaukut levällään ja tavaroita ympäriinsä. Ja tietysti paljon pyykkiä! Eipä tuo mittään, kiva että oma fillaristi on taasen viihtynyt kotona. Nyt jo pakkaillaan laukkuja uuteen reissuun, Jussilla edessä Tour de Méditerranéen ja minulla sunnuntaina alkava viikon leiri Pruneauxin kanssa. Meillä on tiimiesittely sunnuntaina ja siitä alkaa sitten viikon treenileiri, tietysti paljon muutakin ohjelmaa luvassa ja ennenkaikkea tutustutaan toisiimme. Odotankin innolla myös jenkkivahvistuksemme, Christine Vardarosin tapaamista. Saa vaihteeksi taalata amerikkaa, ei aina patonkikieltä. Pysykää kanavalla! Ciao!

We have spent a great day of Pro cycling. We cheered
à bloc (as the French people call it)
our two Finnish riders. The attack group left early and
after 40km the peloton was driwing calmly to the finnish
line. Jussi and Jukka (on the photo) finished in the
peloton. Good job guys! :-)
And our cheering team was having loads of fun!

Hyvää Runebergin Päivää!

It's Finnish and means happy Runeberg's day. We celebrate this day to honour the birthday of this great Finnish poet Johan Ludvig Runeberg. One of his most known writings is the national anthem of Finland, the "Maamme-laulu". We have these special cakes called the Runeberg's cakes and I made those for Jussi, they were yammy! :-) Another reason to be happy today is that I had an appointement with my chirurgien today and the x-rays of my arm were finally OK. He said he was really worried about the healing in September when we last met but now it is recovering as it should. "The year 2007 is going to be a great one", he said to me. The plate will stay for few months still. I was smiling as I left the hospital. I am ready to turn the page!
We are getting ready here to open the pro-racing season as Jussi will be starting tomorrow in GP de la Marseillaise. I will be cheering him on the road, of course!

... est finnois et signifie "Joyeux fête de Runeberg". Nous fétons ce jour pour ce grand poète finlandais, Johan Ludvig Runeberg. Un de ses plus famous poèmes est l'hymne national de la Finlande, le "Maamme-laulu". Nous avons ces gateaux de Runeberg et je les ai préparé pour Jussi. Ils étaient délicieux! :-) Il y a un autre raison pour le sourie aujourd'hui, car j'ai eu un RV avec mon chirurgien aujourd'hui et finalement le radio de mon bras est OK. Il semble avoir bien ossifié, finalement. Le docteur avouait qu'il a fait de soucis pour ca, car après quelques mois il n'y avait pas vraiment d'amélioration. Nous étions contents, et il m'avait dit que: "Ca va être une bonne année 2007!" Je suis d'accord avec lui! J'avais un sourire jusqu'aux oreilles sortant d'hôpital... Je suis prète à tourner le page! Demain il y a le Grand Prix d'ouverture Marseillaise. Je vais suivre mon chèri au bord de la route!

Näin tehdään Runebergin päivää tutuksi! Kokeilin Runebergin torttuja ja niistä tuli oikein makoisia. Tänään on ollut muutakin aihetta hymyyn, sillä minulla oli jälleen kontrolli kirurgini kanssa ja vihdoin röntgenkuvat käsivarresta näyttävät siltä kuin pitää. Lääkäri myönsi olleensa huolissaa kun viimeksi syksyllä tavatessamme ei isoa parannusta ollut tapahtunut. Nyt luutuminen näyttää kuitenkin hyvältä. Tohtori totesi, että: "Vuosi 2007 taitaakin olla oikein hyvä vuosi." Olen hänen kanssaan täysin samaa mieltä!! Hymyilin kävellessäni ulos sairaalasta, nyt voidaan kääntää vihdoin sivua!
Täällä kotona valmistaudutaan aloittamaan kisakausi, Jussi starttaa näet huomenna GP de la Marseillaise kisassa joka ajetaan aivan kotinurkiltamme. Huomenna siis luvassa jännä päivä. Minä menen Jatan ja Miksun kanssa tienvarteen hurraamaan. Jukkakin on ilmeisesti viivalla joten meillä on kaksi suomipoikaa kannustettavana.

Oh, j'ai passé un journée géniale de vélo aujourd'hui, enfin matin génial plutôt! J'ai participé dans une une petite course tout près de chez moi, un criterium ensemble avec tous les categories. Pour moi la course était important plutôt pour la tête que les jambes. J'ai retrouvé un petit group oû je pouvais rouler... j'ai retrouvé les sensations de course, j'ai senti qu'il y a quand même quelque chose dans les jambes. Et surtout, j'y étais. En plus, mon petit frére Mika fait 2ème dans la course! Merci tous, pour moi c'était chouette! Ne peux pas expliquer plus! ;-) (dans le photo moi et notre supporter N.1 Jatta)

Training training...

I am pretty pleased with my training during January. Got some kilometres into legs and hopefully it will start to show some results soon. In two weeks I am leaving to Agen for a training camp with my team "Pruneaux d'Agen". It will be great to meet my new team mates, and have some good training together.

Jussi has been away alot this first month of the year. Even though I should be pretty used to it for now already, well sometimes it just a bit hard! I am sooo happy to have my brother Mika around and his girlfriend Jatta. Been quite alot at their place in Ciotat, this beautiful beach town. As my bro has been training camping as well we have been spending time with Jatta. Desperate Housewifes and Sex and the City -dvd nights rock!!!

Ps. One morning we even went for a swim into the Sea (I think the sea temperature is about 8-10C at the moment). hey, what can you say, Finnish girls are just like that! It was great! You feel so good afterwards, even if it really hurts before you dive in....

Les entrainements se passent bien et je suis contente avoir les kilometres dans les jambes. Dans dux semaines je part pour un stage d'entraînement de mon équipe Les Pruneaux d'Agen. J'ai hate de voir mes nouvelles co-équipiers et entraîner ensemble avec les filles...

Jussi a été parti tout le temps pendant Janvier et même si je commence avoir l'habitude être seule, ben des fois c'est difficile!! Je suis tellement heureuse avoir mon frère Mika ici avec sa fiancée Jatta. J'ai passé pas mal de temps chez eux à Ciotat, dans la village à côté de la mér. Comme mon frère était parti aussi en stages nous avons passé de "temps de filles" avec Jatta. Desperate Housewifes et Sex and the City dvd-soirées rock!!

Ps. Un matin nous avons même allé se baigner dans la mér avec Jatta. Le temperature doit être vers 8-10C en ce moment. Oui, on est un petit peu folles!!! Mais ca fait tellement du bien aprés, même si avant y aller tu as vraiment mal....
